Nubuck leather is a type of top-grain leather (the uppermost layer of the hide) that has been sanded on the grain side to a create soft, velvety finish. This buffing removes the natural grain pattern, so it looks a bit like suede as it produces a short nap.
Despite its soft finish, Nubuck is more durable than suede due to its underlying full-grain leather, and is more water resistant than suede (however, thanks to our range’s HYDRAFUSE™ REINsoc™ membrane, all our boots are waterproof).
It also is relatively breathable, and it looks darn good if we do say so ourselves.
